CHURCH LEADERSHIP

We Aim to be Servant Leaders

Our leaders love Jesus. They treasure His Word, care for His people, and live to make Him known—using their gifts to serve the church with joy and faithfulness.

Nathan Smith

Lead Pastor

Nathan serves as the Lead Pastor of Emmanuel Church, bringing over twenty years of experience in pastoral ministry and church planting. A graduate of the Sovereign Grace Pastors College (2001), he planted Grace Church Bristol in the UK in 2002 and served faithfully as Lead Pastor there for nearly two decades. In 2023, he joined the pastoral team at Covenant Fellowship Church in Glen Mills, PA, in preparation for this new season of church planting.

At Emmanuel, Nathan devotes himself to preaching God’s Word, caring for people, raising up leaders, and helping the church engage the community to spread the joy of Jesus to Coatesville and beyond. He is married to Clare, and together they have six children—and a dog! He enjoys spending time with family, traveling and history, board games, smoking meat, and most sports—especially proper football (soccer)!

Joel Baker

Leadership Team

Joel serves on the leadership team, bringing oversight to Generations, our children’s ministry. A native of Conshohocken and a graduate of West Chester University, he works as a personal trainer and fitness director at a country club in Philadelphia. When he’s off the clock, Joel enjoys spending time outdoors or baking something sweet—after all, with a name like Baker, it just makes sense!

He currently lives in the Exton area with his wife, Alysia, and their daughter. Joel is passionate about helping the next generation encounter the joy of Jesus.

Levi Clark

Leadership Team

Levi serves on the leadership team, overseeing our Hospitality Team. A plumber by trade, he enjoys using his skills to build his business, care for others, and create welcoming spaces.

Levi and his wife, Abbey, live in Coatesville with their son. They love opening their home to reflect the love and generosity of Jesus through everyday hospitality. In his free time, Levi enjoys sports, family time, and sharing life with others.

Adam Donohue

Leadership Team

Adam serves on the leadership team, bringing oversight to our Facilities, Sunday Operations, and Security teams. He grew up in West Chester, PA, where he met his wife, Bekah. They now live in Coatesville with their two young children.

Adam works in the maintenance department at GSK, and in his free time enjoys being with family, tackling home projects, fishing, and playing just about every sport—except soccer. He loves using his practical gifts to support the church’s mission of spreading the joy of Jesus to Coatesville and beyond.

Dan Muir

Leadership Team

Dan serves on the leadership team and provides particular oversight to our Production Team, using his gifts in sound and systems to help create a smooth and engaging Sunday gathering. A self-confessed nerd, he works as a software engineer during the week and enjoys excellent coffee and good food—especially when shared with friends.

He is a lifelong resident of southeastern Pennsylvania and currently lives in Downingtown with his wife, Lindsay, and their two young children. He loves serving behind the scenes to help others encounter Jesus without distraction.

Jeff Muir

Leadership Team

Jeff serves on the leadership team and helps to oversee Generations, our children’s ministry. He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from West Chester University and currently works as a software engineer in Malvern.

Jeff and his wife, Lily, live in Coatesville with their two children. He enjoys spending time with friends and family, sports, music, and making people laugh. Whether at church or at home, he loves creating moments where people can encounter Jesus in real and joyful ways.
